Dominion® KX II is Raritan' s secure, enterprise-class KVM-over-IP switch that provides BIOS-level access and control of up to 64 multiplatform servers and serial-based devices. It raises the bar for digital KVM switches with features that maximize performance, security, reliability and productivity, including:
• Universal Virtual Media™ on all models to remotely install OS and software
• Absolute Mouse Synchronization™ , which allows perfect mouse synchronization right out of the box
• Dual power and dual Gigabit Ethernet with automatic failover
• The industry’ s first browser-based GUI for local server management access
• Support for IBM, HP and Dell Blade Servers
• Tiered ( cascaded) local and remote access of up to 1024 servers
• Support of Smart Card/ Common Access Card ( CAC)
• FIPS 140-2 validated cryptographic module for enhanced encryption and security
The Dominion KX II offers High Definition ( HD) remote video resolution — 1920x1080, including widescreen formats such as 1680x1050 and 1600x1200. It comes with 256-bit SSL AES or 128-bit RC4 encryption. It controls power to servers with a optional remote power units and provides dual stack IP networking ( IPv4 and IPv6) . Plus it features Virtual KVM Desktop™ , a common browser-based user interface that supports the industry' s widest range of operating systems and browsers.
The Dominion KX II solution consists of the Dominion KX II KVM-over-IP switch and Computer Interface Modules ( CIMs) .
• CIMs connect to the servers' KVM ports and can be located up to 150 feet away from the switch using UTP ( Cat5/ 5e/ 6) cabling. CIMs also provide keep-alive keyboard/ mouse emulation
• You can access servers from Windows® , Linux® , Sun® or Mac desktops via a wide range of Web browsers or standalone client
• Raritan' s Windows or Java based remote client software is automatically downloaded via Web browser; standalone multiplatform client is available for emergency modem access
• Customers can connect ( e.g. tier) multiple Dominion KX II switches and access up to 1024 servers while in the data center or remotely
• This solution also provides its entire feature set out of the box: Virtual Media, 256-bit AES or 128-bit RC4 encryption, dual power supplies and dual gigabit Ethernet ports with failover, SNMP, Syslog, as well as integration with LDAP, Radius and Active Directory® authentication. Support of IBM, HP and Dell blade servers
